It's official — Fish Friday is back at MaMa's Grill, and we couldn't be more excited. After months of requests from our loyal regulars (you know who you are), we've brought back our famous beer-battered fish and chips every Friday starting at noon.
For those who haven't tried it yet, here's what you're in for: wild-caught cod dipped in our signature beer batter — light, crispy, and golden brown — fried to perfection in our deep fryers. We're talking a serious crunch on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside. It's the kind of fish and chips that makes you forget you're in the mountains of British Columbia and not sitting on a dock somewhere on the coast.
Every plate comes with our in-house cut chips. That's right — we cut them fresh right here in the kitchen. None of that frozen bag stuff. We use real potatoes, hand-cut thick, double-fried for that perfect crispy exterior and fluffy interior. On the side, you'll get our house-made tartar sauce and a scoop of fresh coleslaw with just the right amount of tang.
Why did we bring it back? Simple — because you asked for it. MaMa's has always been about listening to the community. When MaMa's Grill opened over 30 years ago, the idea was to cook real food for real people. Fish Friday fits that mission perfectly. It's honest food, made fresh, served hot, at a fair price.
We start serving at noon every Friday, and it runs until we close at 8 pm — or until we sell out, whichever comes first. Last week we ran out by 6 pm, so if you want to guarantee your plate, we'd suggest coming in on the earlier side. You can dine in, grab it to go, or call ahead at (250) 445-3131 to place your order.
See you Friday. Bring your appetite.
